To the west of Elephantine Island is Aswan Botanical Gardens , still often referred to by its old name, Kitchener’s Island. The island was given to Lord Horatio Kitchener in the 1890s when he was commander of the Egyptian army. Indulging his passion for beautiful palms and plants, Kitchener turned the entire island into a stunning botanical garden, importing plants from the Far East, India and parts of Africa. Covering 6.8 hectares, it is filled with birds as well as hundreds of species of flora. The garden may have lost some of its former glory, but its majestic palm trees are still a stunning sight, particularly just before sunset when the light is softer and the scent of sandalwood floats on the breeze.

Kom ombo temple :
The temple at Kom Ombo is about 30 miles (48 km) north of Aswan and was built during the Graeco-Roman period (332 BC AD 395). it is one of rare amazing temples that has not only great history but also a very beautiful view on the nile bank. There was an earlier structure from the 18th dynasty but little remains.
The temple is unique because it is in fact a double temple, dedicated to Sobek the crocodile god, and Horus the falcon-headed god. The layout combines two temples in one with each side having its own gateways and chapels. it is the first healing center in Egypt and its inscriptions on its walls considered a reference for most medical researches in modern days.
Edfu temple
:
The provincial town of Edfu is located about halfway between Luxor (115km away) and Aswan (105km) and 65km north of Kom Ombo. A very popular destination, Edfu is included in virtually all Egyptian tour itineraries. The Temple of Horus in Edfu (also known as the Temple of Edfu) is considered the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt. This partly because it was built later than most: in the Ptolemaic era from 237 to 57 BC.
Yet despite its later date, it exactly reflects traditional pharaonic architecture and so provides an excellent idea of how all the temples once looked. Edfu is also very large: the second largest in Egypt after Karnak Temple.

The Mortuary Temple of Hatchepsut is one of the most beautiful of all of the temples of Ancient Egypt. It is located at Deir el-Bahri ("the Northern Monastery"), at the head of the valley beneath the peak of the mountain (and natural pyramid) "Dehent" (now known by its arabic name, el-Qurn - "The Horn"). It sits directly against the rock which forms a natural amphitheatre around it so that the temple itself seems to grow from the living rock.
Hatshepsut was the longest reigning female pharaoh in Egypt, ruling for 20 years in the 15th century B.C. She is considered one of Egypt's most successful pharaohs.
